10 simple ways to promote your Behance or Dribbble accounts

Hello dear friend!

You're probably looking for information on getting more likes and views on your Behance projects. I once wondered the same thing and started collecting knowledge bit by bit all over the Internet. I have also had my painful experience, which I will describe in this post.

For those who don't know why you have to promote your Behance profile let me put it simply:

Behance is a great network where you can receive orders and showcase your portfolio. That’s it.

If you don't need orders or you don't need to sell yourself, then I don't understand why you're posting your projects.

Let’s go!

We will start with the standard advice and I will share the most interesting tips at the end of the post.

1. Do it well or not at all

This is the first and most important point. If you don’t stick to it, no need to continue reading this post.

Yes, it's cliché, but no matter how hard you try to promote a project that sucks, it won't work. You can get views, likes, and even comments with the help of motivated users; however, you won't get far with that.

If you want to receive orders on Behance so badly, hire a cool designer for your next project and agree on publishing the work on your profile.

2. Fill in your profile

Entirely.

Add links to all the social networks you use. If you have a personal blog site, add it, too. The "About Me" and "Work Experience" sections shouldn't be empty.

3. Publish only your best projects on Behance or Dribbble

It\'s better to post one but the most terrific project than 10 average ones.

Study other people’s profiles. There are many designers who have less than 10 works in the portfolio, but thousands of views, likes, and subscribers.

Examples:

4. Share your project in all your social networks

Behance suggests sharing your project on Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn. Use them all!

5. Presentation

This is one of the most important points. It is important to be able to sell your work. To do this, you have to work on your presentation. Just posting a screenshot of your project is not enough.

Users love stories, so show the process! The first sketches, the quest, how you came to the final result.

If you work with UI\\UX projects, animations will be of a great help.

Check out the top projects on the network. See how the cool guys do it, learn and get inspired!

6. Comment and like other people's projects

Be as active as possible. Find projects that seem interesting to you, like them and write a comment. For example:

Great job, i like it!

Check my work and give feedback.

In return, you will also get likes and comments.

Not everyone responds. The more you like and comment, the more effective feedback will be.

7. Unofficial compilations, publishers, forums

Share your work wherever possible. There are various forums and publishers dedicated to each sphere, so share your projects on the platforms that are in line with your professional field. There are groups on Telegram that can be easily found.

8. Related sites

Post your work on similar design sites, for example:

  • Artstation.com

  • pinterest.com

9.Use Exchange Likes services - Dribe.org

Use service for exchanging likes, followers and comments.

The operating principle is as follows:

  1. You like other people's projects and get points for it.

  2. You spend the points you earn to get likes on your own projects.

In the free account you can get 30 likes per day. Dribe.org also works with dribbble, medium and artstation.

That's all for now. Good luck in promoting your projects!
